Filecrux is free today and we do not sell anything, so there is nothing new to refund. This page is for readers who paid for the older version of Filecrux. That service is closed and nobody is billed for it now.
When we give a refund
We always put right a duplicate charge, an unauthorized charge, or a Filecrux billing error. We may also approve a refund for a missed report or an outage from the time you were paying. Changing your mind does not qualify.
A failed payment means Stripe did not take the money. It is not a charge to refund. If Stripe took the wrong amount or took the same payment twice, that is covered by the rules above.
Ask within 30 days of the charge. In the signed-in support form, choose “Something’s broken” and put “Refund request” in the subject. You can also email support@filecrux.com. You do not need to send card proof. We can see the charge in Stripe. We keep the request and our decision.
An approved refund is the full amount Filecrux charged, including tax or a fee Filecrux collected. An approved refund of a charge goes back to the card that was charged.
We answer within three business days. If we approve a refund, a person sends it in Stripe within ten business days. Your bank or payment provider may take more time to show it.
Your old subscription
Old subscriptions are ended. Stripe is not charging anyone for Filecrux. You do not have to cancel anything, and there is nothing you can do on the site that will start a charge.
Your invoices and receipts are still in Stripe. Open your account and choose “Open billing history” to read them.
If a Filecrux billing error caused a charge you should not have had, ask within 30 days. We send the full wrong charge back to the card that was charged.
This policy does not take away a refund right given by law.
